Progga Chirontoni

My name is Progga Chirontoni and I am a student at  Lamar University, studying  Chemical Engineering and Mathematics. I am passionate about STEM disciplines, especially chemical technology, as it can contribute to conservation of the environment. Since my first year of college, I have done research on pollution caused by chemical plants as well as on various chemical techniques used to analyze this pollution. My hobbies include reading, volunteering, writing creatively, and singing; I particularly enjoy singing Bengali music and classical Indian songs. I am looking forward to participating in i-Trek because I wish to use the knowledge I gain from my research to empower children through outreach activities and community involvement.
